Information to include in a valuation enquiry
To assist with a valuation enquiry, please include:
- Property address
- Purpose of valuation
- Required valuation date, if known
- Property type
- Inspection access details
- Relevant deadline
- Any solicitor, accountant, court order or revenue-office requirement, if applicable
- Any documents that may assist the valuer
The required report format and valuation scope depend on the property, purpose, valuation date, evidence, assumptions and instructions.
For CGT or retrospective work, include the adviser-confirmed valuation date in the Message field of the enquiry form. This is separate from any preferred inspection date. If the date is not yet known, explain the purpose of the enquiry and ask the appropriate adviser to confirm the required date.
